As part of the legal & compliance team, you are to assist in ensuring the company operates in full compliance with Malaysian laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role focuses on identifying regulatory risks, addressing noncompliance issues, and fostering a culture of adherence to internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all internal SOPs, policies, formats, and guidelines align with Malaysian legal requirements.
Assess and mitigate risks in areas such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), marketing, collaborations, and other ventures.
Conduct regular audits to identify weaknesses and areas of noncompliance within the organization.
Implement corrective actions and disciplinary measures for departments or employees breaching compliance.
Address noncompliance situations by creating and executing realistic corrective plans.
Develop and enforce internal policies tailored to operational needs.
Provide regular reports to management on compliance status and legal adherence.
Educate employees on their responsibilities to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
Work on other related task as and when required to.
Job Requirements
At least a Diploma in Law, Business, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in risk & compliance-related role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulatory frameworks.
